Semen Cardona’s clients shine at the Porc d’Or Awards, with 11 awards

The Palacio de Congresos de la Llotja from Lleida was the setting last Friday for the 30th edition of the Porc d’Or Awards, which brought together more than 1,000 industry professionals to recognize excellence in swine production. Among the awardees, Semen Cardona’s clients stood out, as they secured 11 out of the 43 awards presented, including the newly created Porc d’Or One Health Special Award.

It is in the categories of Numerical Productivity and Farrowing Rate where our clients have excelled, accumulating a total of 8 awards. This success is a clear testament to their dedication and commitment to quality and efficiency in swine production.

The gala was attended by Semen Cardona’s top representatives, including Jordi Coletas (General Manager), Xavi Barrera (Technical Director), and Xavi Farré (Financial Director). We had the privilege of presenting the award to one of the 37 farms recognized by seven autonomous communities.

The Porc d’Or Awards aim to encourage and acknowledge the hard work of Spanish pork companies in their continuous pursuit of efficiency and quality in swine production.

This year, among the novelties introduced, was the establishment of the One Health Special Award, sponsored by Ceva Animal Health: a recognition of the teamwork between farmers and veterinarians on the farm, promoting the concept of One Health in swine production. We are proud that one of our clients received this prestigious award.
