Semen Cardona reaches 3.7 million doses distributed in 2019
After 2019 of great challenges and overcoming some adversities, Semen Cardona has reached the annual figure of 3.7 million distributed porcine seminal doses, the highest in its history. This amount represents a growth of about 10%. Of these, 2.9 million were produced in their artificial insemination centers, while nearly 800,000 were incorporated into their logistics system on behalf of large vertical clients in the sector, one of the activities on the rise in recent years. Within these figures, the growth achieved in Mexico stands out, with a 20% increase.
The investments of the last 18 months, with the start-up of two large artificial insemination centers in Tarazona (Zaragoza) and Duque (Segovia) are responsible for this growth. In 2020, Semen Cardona expects to grow a new 15% and reinforce its position as a national leader in the sector.
During this new year, we hope to implement logistics improvements that reduce the flow of people in the CIA, new collaborations, optimization of transport, sanitary controls unique in the sector and internationalization strategies towards new markets.
