SEMEN CARDONA PRESENT AT THE 12th ITM- INTERNATIONAL TECHNICAL MEETING

On April 26, Xavier Barrera, Technical Director of Semen Cardona, gave a presentation on the 12th ITM – International Technical Meeting – organized by Magapor.
With the experience gained as technical manager of Semen Cardona, Xavier Barrera spoke about the evolution that the studs have undergone since  mid 90s to the present time.
In addition to the company’s own centers, Semen Cardona also offers advice to CIAs in areas ranging from biosecurity, production, staff training, facilities and boars optimization and logistics.
During his presentation, he shared with the audience interesting technical and economic data to understand how parameters such as Nr. of doses produced by boar place, culling age and culling reasons have changed, as well as changes in the breakdown of dose costs.
His presentation was framed in the round table “Challenges of future in swine reproduction”.
Semen Cardona has participated several times in this event, where more than 320 specialists, veterinarians and managers from 32 different countries attended this year.
