Semen Cardona strengthens its commitment to internationalization by creating the position of Director of America
Semen Cardona, a leading Spanish exporter and a global benchmark in the industry, has taken a significant step towards international expansion with the appointment of a new Director of America. Francesc Xavier Tribó will assume this crucial role, playing a key role in the growth and development of the company’s projects throughout the American continent, particularly in Mexico.
Semen Cardona is expanding internationally, with a focus on America. The initial goal is to strengthen its international headquarters in Mexico, with Tribó being responsible for providing an effective response to growing projects in this country.
Tribó considers Mexican pig farming “a growing sector that is increasingly specializing and becoming more technologically advanced. Semen Cardona fits perfectly into this profile of growth, modernization, and digitization.”
Additionally, there are plans for the Tepatitlán de Morelos headquarters in Jalisco to become a significant operational center for Semen Cardona throughout Latin America. As the Director of America, Tribó will progressively oversee other projects in the region, starting with Semen Cardona Colombia and then pursuing new opportunities as they arise in other countries on the continent.
“We believe that the American continent is a great opportunity for us, and I am confident that in the not-too-distant future, other markets and opportunities where Semen Cardona wants and will land will emerge,” assures Tribó. “We will continue to contribute to the growth of pig farming in the American continent by sharing our expertise and knowledge.”
EXPERIENCE IN LATAM
Francesc Xavier Tribó, a professional with a background in veterinary medicine (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) and biology (Universitat de Barcelona), has extensive experience in the industry. He began his career on the family farm, one of the first clients of Maria Àngels Rial, the founder of Semen Cardona.
Later, he joined the marketing and international technical service department at Hipra, where he spent three years focusing on operations in Europe and Central America. Subsequently, he became the Technical and Marketing Manager for Hipra in Mexico, a position he held for eight years.
Now, after completing a month and a half of training at the Cardona Headquarters, Francesc Xavier Tribó is fully integrated into the Semen Cardona team, where he will contribute his valuable knowledge and experience to the growth and success of the company in the American continent.
