Semen Cardona takes part in ITM Magapor 2026 with a presentation by Xavi Barrera

Semen Cardona has once again taken part in ITM Magapor 2026, the 18th International Technical Meeting of Swine Reproduction Specialists organised by Magapor. The congress was held on May 13 and 14 in Zaragoza, Spain, bringing together swine industry professionals from different countries to share experiences, results and new approaches in swine reproduction and artificial insemination.

During the event, Xavi Barrera, Technical Director at Semen Cardona, once again participated as a speaker within the technical programme. In his presentation, he addressed an innovative topic: the use of matrix combination as a PRRS diagnostic strategy in AI centres, a common practice in artificial insemination centres that represents a significant operational workload for technicians and poses limitations from an animal welfare perspective.

Participation in events like this allows Semen Cardona to maintain close contact with veterinarians, technicians and companies in the swine sector, while also exchanging knowledge with professionals working directly in the field.
