Semen Cardona recognised by the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce with the Business Career Award

Semen Cardona has been awarded the Cambra Berguedà and Cardona Business Career Award, granted by the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce as part of the 2026 Dia de la Cambra al Berguedà i Cardona.

The event, held in Olvan before nearly 300 attendees, highlighted the trajectory of companies rooted in the territory and their contribution to economic development. In this edition, the Chamber recognised Semen Cardona for a journey that began in 1986, when Maria Àngels Rial founded a pioneering swine insemination centre in Cardona.

Since then, the company has consolidated a model based on innovation, quality, research and excellence, producing high-performance semen doses under strict biosecurity standards. This growth has enabled Semen Cardona to expand internationally while preserving its family DNA, its local roots and its commitment to staying close to professionals in the swine sector.

During the event, the Chamber also recognised the trajectory of RemcoBCN and opened a reflection on young talent and the future challenges of the territory.

At Semen Cardona, we thank the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce for this recognition, which we share with everyone who is part of our story: our team, customers, collaborators, suppliers and professionals in the sector.
